The Murshidi Program: Academic & Career Mentoring at Qatar National Library is a one-to-one mentorship programme connecting students and recent graduates with mentors from Education City, its alumni network and other institutions in Qatar.
Participants receive personalised guidance based on the academic or career subjects identified during registration. Support can cover university applications, scholarships, career planning and ways to develop in academic and professional environments.
Who the programme is for
- High school students preparing for university
- Early university students seeking academic or career direction
- Recent graduates looking for career guidance and support
How mentor matching works
Each mentee completes a registration form and identifies the subjects for which assistance is requested. The applicant then selects three or four potential mentors from the available mentor list.
Qatar National Library staff assign an appropriate mentor after reviewing the submitted information, mentor availability and the time required. The programme therefore uses mentee preferences as part of a staff-managed matching process.
Schedule and meeting options
The programme runs from 5 to 30 September 2026, with sessions scheduled every Saturday from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Mentees can meet their assigned mentors in person at the Main Plaza of Qatar National Library in Doha or participate online. Registration is listed from QAR 0 and must be completed through the supplied programme form.
